Why Am I Doing This?
That is an absolutely valid question. And probably the first thing that came to your mind when browsing through the site. While I wish I could give you a long winded answer about how much I want to help people, the truth is that running this blog makes things easier for me.
Yep I said it. I am motivated by self-interest. Sorry to burst your bubble!
The thing is after I had been lifting for a while, a few of my friends started to notice the change in my physique and wanted to know what I had been doing different in the gym. These were pretty close buddies of mine, so I had no problem sharing my experiences. What I didn’t count on was them telling their friends, and their friends, and so on until I was swamped with people coming to me for advice. Now as much of an ego-trip as that was, I found all my free time consumed with trying to help people out.
Let me take a minute here to say that I really don’t mind helping others out. In fact I kind of enjoy it. Because lets face it, we all have been in the same boat of going to the gym and not seeing any results. I know you are bombarded with an insane amount of diets and miracle cures that really don’t work, and I know this because I have tried them myself.
So the thing was, I found all my free time was taken trying to go over the same principals to all my friends and their friends again and again. Until I had the “genius-inspiration moment” as I like to call it. Why not put all this stuff together on the web and save myself some time?
Yeah I’m a little slow, I know. Give me a break.
Anyway so here it is, for the world to see. I figure I can help a few people out and save myself some time in the process, and when all is said and done return to my life at the bookstore. Really, trying to run the show on the internet is almost as much trouble as what I was doing before.
Well that’s about all I got. Feel free to join the mailing list if you want more information or just hang out and see what’s up if you are still skeptical.
Later!
